The portrait captures the artistic perspective of contemporary dancer and choreographer Alexandra Paal.

Shaped by her training at the London Contemporary Dance School and collaborations with fellow artists, her creative repertoire now encompasses movement alongside text, poetry, film, visual art, and design.

The underlying concept of these artist portraits, often accompanied by interviews, is a long-term project. Currently, I utilize this material to depict the narrative art worlds of inspiring artist acquaintances. Through revisiting interview questions over the course of several years, I aim to illustrate personal journeys and the natural evolution of self-awareness, encouraging others to pursue their passions.

These works are disseminated through ARTBOX, a newly formed collective of artists and creatives dedicated to illuminating the unique worlds and inner lives of fellow artists.
